NCMA ANNOUNCES DANIEL KLENETSKY AS NEW NASCAR REPRESENTATIVE ON BOARD OF DIRECTORS
CONCORD, N.C. (March 16, 2026) — The North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) today announced the appointment of Daniel Klenetsky, Senior Director of Public & Government Affairs at NASCAR, to its Board of Directors. Klenetsky will serve as NASCAR’s representative on the board.
Klenetsky brings more than 15 years of experience in public policy and government relations, including over a decade within the motorsports industry. Since joining NASCAR in 2013, he has played a key role in shaping the organization’s public and government affairs strategy at the state level, including extensive work across North Carolina and close collaboration with policymakers and stakeholders on issues impacting motorsports throughout the state.
Prior to his tenure at NASCAR, Klenetsky held several roles at both the federal and state levels, including work on national and state political campaigns and as a legislative aide in the Florida House of Representatives. He earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law.
“I’m honored to join the NCMA Board of Directors as NASCAR’s representative,” said Klenetsky. “Motorsports are a vital part of North Carolina’s history and economy. I look forward to building on the board’s important work promoting the industry and advancing its advocacy across the state.”
NCMA Board Chairman Scott Lampe welcomed Klenetsky to the organization’s governing body and recognized the contributions of outgoing board member Patrick Rogers.
“We’re excited to welcome Dan to the NCMA Board of Directors,” said Lampe. “His experience working at the intersection of motorsports and public policy will be a tremendous asset to our organization and the industry across North Carolina. I’d also like to thank Patrick Rogers for his years of service and leadership on the board and his continued support of NCMA’s mission.”
Rogers (NASCAR Vice President, Marketing Services) served as the sanctioning body’s representative on the NCMA Board since 2020 and played an important role in advancing the association’s mission to support and promote North Carolina’s motorsports industry.
The NCMA Board of Directors represents a broad cross-section of the state’s motorsports ecosystem, including race teams, tracks, manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, and industry partners. As NASCAR’s representative, Klenetsky will help guide the association’s efforts to strengthen industry advocacy, collaboration, and economic growth.
