Celebrating Excellence Across the Industry
NCMA Motorsports Industry Awards
The NCMA Motorsports Industry Awards were established in 2007 and are the Association’s signature annual celebration and an evening dedicated to recognizing the people, companies, and achievements that help power North Carolina’s motorsports economy.
Bringing together industry leaders, team owners, innovators, partners, and supporters from across the industry, the Awards serve as both a celebration of excellence and a premier networking opportunity within the motorsports community.
Each year, honorees are recognized for their leadership, innovation, and lasting impact on the industry, while attendees enjoy an engaging program, meaningful connections, and a shared appreciation for the state that proudly serves as the home of American motorsports.
Awards recipients are determined by the NCMA Board of Directors and the NCMA Awards Committee. The awards presented include the following.
ACHIEVEMENT IN MOTORSPORTS TRIBUTE AWARD
The highest honor bestowed by the NCMA, the Achievement in Motorsports Tribute Award, is presented annually to an individual or organization that has significantly elevated the industry and reputation of motorsports in North Carolina through career accomplishments, contributions, perseverance, and integrity.
JIM HUNTER MEMORIAL MEDIA AWARD
The Jim Hunter Memorial Media Award is named in honor of NASCAR Hall of Fame Landmark Award recipient and long-time motorsports executive Jim Hunter. The annual award is presented to a member of the motorsports media ecosystem who has made significant contributions to the sport through passion, excellence, and integrity.
PHILANTHROPY AWARD
The Philanthropy Award is presented to an individual or organization that has demonstrated a history of significant charitable, philanthropic, or humanitarian contributions and has inspired others through empathy, passion, and integrity.
MOTORSPORTS INDUSTRY AWARD
The Motorsports Industry Award is an annual honor bestowed on individuals or organizations that make significant contributions to the North Carolina motorsports ecosystem. It is a celebration of the many industries that combined to shape the past, present and future of motorsports in the state.
