Our Mission
The North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade organization dedicated to promoting, protecting, and growing the motorsports industry across North Carolina. NCMA represents a broad membership base, including race teams, tracks, manufacturers, service providers, suppliers, professional service firms, and related businesses that drive the state’s multi-billion-dollar motorsports economy.
NCMA serves as the unified voice of the industry at the state level, providing legislative and regulatory advocacy to ensure that the business interests of the motorsports community are recognized and supported. The association also fosters collaboration and professional development through networking events, industry programs, educational seminars, and member engagement opportunities that benefit organizations of all sizes, from small enterprises to major corporations.
Through leadership, partnership, and industry alignment, NCMA works to strengthen North Carolina’s position as the state where motorsports means business.

High Performance Expo (HPX)
Held annually in June at the Charlotte Convention Center, HPX is the industry’s newest must-attend trade show and conference. It connects manufacturers, race teams, builders, retailers, and innovators who are shaping the future of high performance and the automotive aftermarket.
The North Carolina Motorsports Foundation
The North Carolina Motorsports Foundation (NCMF) is the charitable arm of the North Carolina Motorsports Association, established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the future of motorsports in our state. Through scholarships, education, and workforce development, the Foundation invests directly in the next generation of motorsports professionals—engineers, technicians, business leaders, and innovators who will power the industry forward.
At the heart of the Foundation’s mission is its annual scholarship program, which provides financial support to students pursuing careers across the motorsports ecosystem. Scholarships are awarded through two programs and help students attending North Carolina colleges, universities, and technical or trade schools prepare for meaningful careers in racing and automotive performance.
The Foundation’s work is powered by generous donors, fundraising initiatives, and proceeds from North Carolina’s motorsports specialty license plates. Every plate sold directly supports NCMF scholarships, which turn everyday miles into real opportunities for students across the state. It’s a simple way to show motorsports pride while helping build the industry’s future.
