NCMA RENAMES PHILANTHROPY AWARD IN HONOR OF GREG BIFFLE; PETTY FAMILY RECEIVES INAUGURAL RECOGNITION

The North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) announced the renaming of its Philanthropy Award to the Greg Biffle Driven to Serve Award during the 19th Annual North Carolina Motorsports Industry Awards presented by Fifth Third Bank on June 3, 2026, in Charlotte.

The newly renamed award recognizes individuals, organizations, and initiatives whose commitment to serving others reflects the spirit of generosity, leadership, and community impact that has long defined North Carolina’s motorsports industry.

The inaugural Greg Biffle Driven to Serve Award was presented to the Petty Family and its charitable organizations—the Petty Family Foundation, Victory Junction, and the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America—in recognition of decades of service and an extraordinary legacy of giving that has impacted lives across North Carolina and beyond.

The announcement served as a fitting tribute to Greg Biffle, whose dedication to helping communities in times of need has become one of the defining aspects of his legacy. Throughout his career, Biffle has demonstrated a commitment to humanitarian efforts, disaster relief, and charitable causes, embodying the values of service and compassion that this award is intended to celebrate.

“Greg Biffle has shown us that leadership extends far beyond the racetrack,” said Chad Willis, Executive Director of the North Carolina Motorsports Association. “His willingness to step forward when communities need help most represents the very best of our industry. We are honored to recognize his legacy by renaming this award in his honor.”

Adding a special touch to the evening, Jordyn Biffle, Greg Biffle’s niece, was in attendance to witness the announcement and celebrate the inaugural presentation of the award bearing her uncle’s name.

The Petty Family’s selection as the first recipient of the Greg Biffle Driven to Serve Award reflects a philanthropic commitment that spans generations. Through the Petty Family Foundation, Victory Junction, and the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America, the family has raised millions of dollars and created life-changing opportunities for children facing serious illnesses and challenges.

The award presentation was one of the highlights of the 19th Annual North Carolina Motorsports Industry Awards, which brought together industry leaders from across the state to celebrate excellence, achievement, and service within North Carolina’s motorsports community.

As the home of the largest concentration of motorsports businesses in the United States, North Carolina’s industry has long demonstrated a commitment to giving back. The Greg Biffle Driven to Serve Award will continue to honor those whose generosity and dedication to helping others strengthen communities and inspire future generations.
