2027 NASCAR & NHRA SCHEDULES RELEASED; PROMINENTLY FEATURE NORTH CAROLINA

NASCAR and the NHRA have released their 2027 schedules, and the state of North Carolina once again stands atop the podium as the United States’ home of motorsports.

North Carolina is the only state with two or more cities hosting multiple events for both NASCAR (Concord, North Wilkesboro, Winston-Salem) and the NHRA (Concord, Rockingham).

North Carolina and Florida each have four markets hosting six national event weekends across the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.  

North Carolina’s 2027 NASCAR and NHRA slate is as follows:

April 2-4 – NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series at zMAX Dragway (Concord)

May 21 – NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at North Wilkesboro Speedway 

May 22 – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series at North Wilkesboro Speedway 

May 23 – NASCAR Cup Series at North Wilkesboro Speedway 

May 28 – NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord)

May 29 – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord)

May 30 – NASCAR Cup Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord)

Aug. 20 – NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Bowman Gray Stadium (Winston-Salem)

Sept. 24-26 – NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series at Rockingham Dragway

Oct. 15 – NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord)

Oct. 16 – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord)

Oct. 17 – NASCAR Cup Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord)
