Fifth Third Bank Named Presenting Sponsor of 19th Annual North Carolina Motorsports Industry Awards
CONCORD, N.C. (May 13, 2026) — The North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) announced today that Fifth Third Bank will serve as the presenting sponsor of the 19th Annual North Carolina Motorsports Industry Awards, to be held on June 3 from 6-9 p.m. (EDT) at the Richardson Ballroom in Charlotte, N.C.
As the presenting sponsor, Fifth Third Bank will play a prominent role in an evening that brings together leaders from across North Carolina’s motorsports industry to recognize excellence, impact, and lifetime achievement.
The North Carolina Motorsports Industry Awards is one of the premier gatherings in American motorsports, celebrating the individuals, teams, and organizations that continue to shape the sport and advance its business. This year’s program features recognition of global icon Mario Andretti, along with honorees including the Petty Family, Venturini Motorsports, and Dave Moody.
“Fifth Third Bank’s commitment to supporting the motorsports industry aligns directly with the NCMA’s mission,” said Chad Willis, Executive Director of the NCMA. “Their partnership as presenting sponsor helps elevate this event and reinforces the importance of motorsports as a key economic driver in our state.”
“For more than a decade, Fifth Third has proudly supported the North Carolina Motorsports Association through board service and sponsorship of the Annual Industry Awards,” said Lee Fite, Fifth Third regional president for the Carolinas and Coastal Georgia. “Motorsports is central to North Carolina’s economy and identity, and our involvement, including our 15-year partnership with RFK Racing, reflects our long-standing commitment to the industry and the communities it supports.”
Held at the Charlotte Convention Center’s Richardson Ballroom, the event will bring together industry executives, motorsports professionals, and business leaders for an evening of connection and celebration. The program will conclude with a highly anticipated fireside chat, hosted by Kyle Petty, featuring Mario Andretti and Richard Petty, marking the first time the legends have shared a stage before a live audience.
“Events like the North Carolina Motorsports Industry Awards reflect the strength and unity of our industry,” Willis added. “With partners like Fifth Third Bank, we are able to showcase not only the excellence of motorsports but also the important role the industry plays in providing over $5 billion in economic impact and more than 20,000 jobs to the state of North Carolina.”
